Durham, NC, August 22, 2008 --( Lt. Governor Bev Perdue will deliver the opening remarks during the Dress for Success Triangle NC ribbon cutting ceremony. The ceremony will officially open the organization’s services at Northgate Mall in Durham and coincides with Women’s Equality Day.

“No matter who you are, or where you come from, every citizen that is willing to work hard deserves a shot at self-sufficiency and the American Dream,” said Lt. Governor Bev Perdue. “Together, with Dress for Success, we can help ensure North Carolina is a state where all women have an equal opportunity to excel.”

“You showed and gave me compassion, sensitivity, and empathy. All of you are truly a blessing, to me, my daughter and future clients,” said Valerie (last name withheld), a single mother who recently secured a job and received additional employment attire.

“When I see people’s lives changed and touched by others who take the time to care, it really makes our jobs rewarding and fulfilling,” added Sarina Neal, a job developer with the Work First program.
