Retirement Income Guide Swaps Fidelity VIP Overseas R (FAVOS) for Lazard Retirement Emerging Markets (FNRLC) and Fidelity VIP Strategic Income (FAVSI)

Williamstown, MA, August 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- In the latest issue of Fidelity Independent Adviser’s Retirement Income Guide publisher Don Dion announced that he would be selling Fidelity VIP Overseas R (FAVOS) from two of his model portfolios, and buying Lazard Retirement Emerging Markets (FNRLC) and Fidelity VIP Strategic Income (FAVSI) with the proceeds.

Retirement Income Guide is designed to deliver independent advice on Fidelity mutual funds, No Transaction Fee funds and bond funds. Retirement Income Guide uses 7 different portfolios designed for different levels of risk tolerance. Dion’s latest changes occurred in the VIP Annuity Growth Portfolio and the VIP Annuity Growth and Income Portfolio.

In the VIP Annuity Growth Portfolio Dion sold FAVOS and bought FNRLC to give investors exposure to emerging markets. “Emerging markets are a great way for a more aggressive investor to capture higher returns,” Dion said. Fidelity VIP Healthcare was the strongest performing fund in the VIP Annuity Growth Portfolio this past month, rising 1.92%. In the VIP Annuity Growth and Income Portfolio Dion sold FAVOS and bought FAVSI with the proceeds.
