Hawaiian Luau, Tahitian Dancers Welcome Guests to Osprey Village’s New Clubhouse and Villas

Osprey Village at Amelia Island Plantation, a master-planned, full-service retirement community, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and Hawaiian Luau in celebration of the grand opening of the new clubhouse and villas.

Amelia Island, FL, August 30, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Osprey Village at Amelia Island Plantation, a master-planned, full-service retirement community owned and operated by Senior Living Communities, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and Hawaiian Luau in celebration of the grand opening of the new clubhouse and villas on August 26, 2008.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, current residents, prospects and guests enjoyed a Hawaiian inspired buffet lunch in the luxurious new dining room complete with champagne and chocolate fountains as the tropical beat of steel drums played in the background. Prince Pele Polynesian Review provided further entertainment as they taught guests Tahitian dances and songs.

Interested guests were given tours of the new 36 luxury one and two bedroom condominium-style villas, which offer easy access to the beautiful new dining room, activity rooms, surrounding walkways and covered parking.

“I looked at several communities before I moved here and Osprey Village was the only place for me. There are people from all over the U.S. here, but we are all a family from the residents to the staff,” said new villa resident Renie Clower. “The new building is an enhancement of Osprey Village and the new clubhouse is wonderful.”

Amelia Island Community Association President John Johnson, who is currently on the waiting list for the Washington model home at Osprey Village added “I lobbied for years to get a community of this magnitude at the Plantation and Osprey Village continues to surpass my expectations. The whole system in place here is wonderful with everything that is included and the food is absolutely outstanding,” Johnson said. “The new villas and clubhouse just add to the appeal of the community and offer a larger variety of options.”
