Breakthrough in Childrens’ Sleepwear Design: Onsies That Stay Put

Mookimoo Sleepwear, LLC, a family-owned company in the Pacific Northwest, announced the release of a unique line of sleepwear specifically designed to address unwanted removal of clothing.

Sequim, WA, September 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Plagued by toddlers with a penchant for removing their onesies at naptime and bedtime, developers Randy and Dana Reid created the innovative design to promote a safe, comfortable sleeping environment for toddlers and piece of mind for parents. “The day we walked into the nursery to find our 18 month old daughter completely naked, covered in the contents of her messy diaper, we were convinced that if a solution didn’t exist, we needed to create one” said Randy Reid, co-owner of Mookimoo. After searching the internet and other outlets for a solution, Randy, a retired Coast Guard Officer and stay-at-home-dad, took a pair of scissors to a traditional one-piece sleeper, hacked off the footies, cut the neckline, and put the makeshift garment on the couple’s daughter – backwards. With that, the original Mooki was born.

“We knew that we could not be the only parents faced with this dilemma so we set out to create a garment that our daughter would love and we could trust” said co-founder Dana Reid”. Mookimoo features 100% cotton one-piece sleepers with the zipper in the back, so parents and caregivers can easily remove the garment, but curious toddlers can’t.

Mookimoo Sleepwear is proudly made in the U.S.A and offers stylish, comfortable apparel manufactured from the highest quality, soft cotton, rib knit fabric. The line includes three exclusive screen printed designs available in three fabric colors, all in toddler sizes, ranging from 12 to 36 months.
