AeA Southeast Council Announces Ashworth University as 2008 Spirit of Endeavor Award Nominee

AeA Southeast Council recently announced that Ashworth University is among more than 50 nominations for the 2008 Spirit of Endeavor Awards. This year, Ashworth has been nominated in two categories - Outstanding Leadership and Leadership in Technology Education.

Norcross, GA, September 06, 2008 --(PR.com)-- AeA Southeast Council recently announced that Ashworth University is among more than 50 nominations for the 2008 Spirit of Endeavor Awards. The awards ceremony will be held September 18 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA.

AeA annually recognizes outstanding individuals and companies within the region’s high-tech community. This year, Ashworth has been nominated in two categories - Outstanding Leadership (Dan Webber) and Leadership in Technology Education

“With AeA being the nation’s largest technology trade association, this is a great honor personally and for Ashworth University to be nominated,” said Dan Webber, Ashworth University Chief Information Officer. “Having the spirit and passion for doing great work daily while utilizing technology and sharing that with others is what drives us to greater success. For the 2008 Awards, a selection committee comprised of representatives from the southeast technology community will consider more than 50 nominations within the following categories: Outstanding Leadership, Technology Entrepreneur, Emerging Business, Technology Innovation, and Leadership in Technology Education.

The AeA Southeast Council serves technology companies based in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
