Bureau of Indian Affairs Signs Projility Inc. for Project Portfolio Management Services

Vienna, VA, September 11, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Officials at the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) will enjoy comprehensive resource planning accuracy, improved project oversight, and more accurate and timely reporting with the assistance of the project management and enterprise portfolio management solutions experts at Projility Inc.

Under the terms of the engagement, Projility will help BIA leverage its existing investment in Microsoft Office and Sharepoint technologies to develop an integrated capital planning and investment control (CPIC) system. Upon the completion of the rollout, BIA will be the first federal government agency employing an organization-wide Microsoft based capital planning solution, which will harness the power of Portfolio Server, Project, Project Server, and Sharepoint.

Alban de Bergevin, Enterprise Portfolio Management Strategist for Microsoft Federal, said, “This CPIC solution driven by Projility highlights Microsoft’s commitment to support the mission critical processes and systems for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, through providing an enterprise-ready, easy-to-use solution.”

According to Jose Marroig, chief executive of Projility, the CPIC solution will provide BIA with the ability to centrally plan for resources across projects, and incorporate raw data, including historical data, to better inform agency decision-making and meet Office of Management and Budget (OMB) reporting requirements.

Located within the Department of Interior, BIA is responsible for the administration and management of 66 million acres of land held in trust by the United States for American Indian, Indian tribes, and Alaska Natives. The BIA manages relationships with 562 federally recognized Native American tribes and provides education services to approximately 46,000 children in 184 schools and dormitories.
