Mesa Historical Museum Teen Volunteer Training and Orientation

Mesa, AZ, September 13, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Mesa Historical Museum has announced a training and orientation meeting for all potential teen museum volunteers, to be held on Saturday, September 27, 2008, at 10:00am.

Teen volunteers are needed to help with the museum’s front desk, collections projects, and special events.

Interested teens should check with their school about the diploma community service seal. Many current and past teen volunteers have been able to apply their museum volunteering hours toward this elective.

Volunteers do not need any specific prior training or experience. Volunteers gain important experience for college or job applications, get community service hours, support the Museum, and have an exciting opportunity to learn more about Mesa’s history.

Volunteer times can be tailored to meet your schedule.

More information about volunteering at the museum can be found on the Museum’s website, www.mesahistoricalmuseum.org.
