Union City, NJ, May 12, 2006 --(PR.com
)-- During their annual face-to-face board meeting held in conjunction with the Day Spa Expo in Las Vegas this past February, the Day Spa Association (DSA) reorganized their Board, and appointed Mr. Michael Carter, CEO of Athena Health Club & Day Spa in Nashville, TN to be their Chairperson.
The change and formation of various committees and distribution of responsibilities were accepted during the board’s April meeting, with all board members committing to serve for at least one year in the appointed positions.
“We are very pleased to have Michael Carter accept the position as the Chair of our Advisory Board”, says Hannelore Leavy, Founder and Executive Director of the DSA. “Michael has a passion for our industry and wants to see that every day spa owner succeeds, as well as carry on the mission of the DSA to educate the general public on the benefit of spa treatments within a day spa setting. This to me is one of the most important tasks we have in front of us. With the number of day spas still growing on a consistent basis, new customers need to be cultivated."
