Motorcycle Ride Fundraiser: Kicks Off CFI’s “Surg Tech Week”

Get prepared to celebrate “Surg Tech Week” with All Children’s Hospital of St. Pete & Central Florida Institute (CFI)!

Tampa, FL, September 19, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Central Florida Institute (CFI) is excited to host a week dedicated to projects for and about Surgical Technology called “Surg Tech Week,” (short for Surgical Technology) the week of September 21st through the 27th.

In addition to “Surg Tech Week”, there will be an All Children’s Hospital of St. Pete Motorcycle Ride Fundraiser Project Kick Off on September 20, 2008 that will begin at 9:30 am at the Gulf Coast Harley Davidson, (5817 SR 54, New Port Richey, Florida). The ride will be making a stop at All Children’s Hospital in St Petersburg to donate gifts and then continue on to The Crab Shack. (5430 Baylea Ave., Port Richey, Florida) All of the riders will donate $10 ($5 for a passenger) and a new unwrapped toy in order to join in the fun. Nicole Lambert, CST, Program Director of Surgical Technology says it all; “Help the Surgical Technologists help the Children.”

CFI has already received a considerable amount of toys, movies and games for the hospital from students, faculty, staff, and businesses within the community.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2008-09 Edition, Surgical Technologist employment is a growing field and is expected to grow much faster than average.
