Entrepreneurs to Pitch Investors

Peterborough, NH, September 23, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Companies seeking investment capital will pitch directly to top investors at New England's leading speed-venturing event at the first annual Speed Venture Summit™ on October 28, 2008. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Radisson Hotel in Manchester, NH.

Participating businesses will represent all sectors and development stages, from start-up to later-stage and will “speed pitch” to the region’s savviest and shrewdest investors, ranging from individuals and Angels to venture capital firms and private equity and mezzanine financers. For investors, it will be an exciting opportunity to be introduced to some of the region’s most innovative companies and entrepreneurs as they present their ideas and inventions.

Fred Kocher, president of the NH High Technology Council which is co-hosting the event along with the NH Small Business Development Center asserted, “We’re pleased to be involved with the initial launch of Speed Venture Summit™, which going forward should prove to be an essential vehicle for the deployment of the capital that is crucial for fast growing, cutting edge high tech companies in NH and New England.”

The “speed-pitching” segment of the Summit will be held from 2:00 to 5:00pm, and will be followed by a two-hour business networking session open to the public, and will include a pitch-off from among the day’s top companies.

“This dynamic event will offer an amazing opportunity to bring together and highlight both entrepreneurs and investment capitalists, the two elements that are so critical for job creation and corporate growth in New Hampshire,” stated Mary Collins, State Director of the NH Small Business Development Center. She added, “The business networking reception will offer individuals and young companies the chance to gain exposure and knowledge around seeking venture capital.”
