‘Leading’ in Green Luxury
Luxury Limousines of Sacramento is accepted into the US EPA Climate Leaders program for their environmental commitment.
Sacramento, CA, September 25, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Luxury just got ‘greener’ in northern California. Luxury Limousines of Sacramento has been recognized by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for their environmental commitments and has become a partner in the US EPA Climate Leaders program. As members of Green Ride Global (GRG) – a firm that creates and implements environmental sustainability programs for the ground transportation industry – Luxury Limousines has qualified for inclusion in the Climate Leaders program, based on GRG’s environmental management system and ability to measure, reduce and report on Luxury Limousines’ greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions.
“Very few companies from the transportation industry are part of the Climate Leaders Program”, says Ian Lipton, Chief Operating Officer of Green Ride Global. “Luxury Limousines is helping show the EPA that chauffeured ground transportation companies can demonstrate a serious commitment to environmental sustainability.”
Luxury Limousines of Sacramento has been a Green Ride Global member since January of this year and has already yielded impressive results around improving their company’s environmental performance and GHG reductions. Since Luxury Limousines’ inception into the program, Green Ride Global has been measuring, monitoring and reporting on the emissions associated with all aspects of Luxury Limousines’ fleet. Inside of their first quarter alone, Luxury Limousines has achieved a GHG reduction of 23% per 100 fleet-miles travelled, over the same period last year.
