Make Mine a Million $ Business™ Names Lt. Gov. Beverly Perdue and Secretary of State Elaine Marshall as Keynote Speakers for North Carolina Event

Charlotte, NC, October 03, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Mary Cantando, coordinator for the North Carolina Make Mine A Million $ Business™ event (www.makemineamillion.org), has announced that Lt. Gov. Beverly Perdue and Secretary of State Elaine Marshall are the keynote speakers for the event to be held Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Blake Hotel, located at 555 S Mcdowell St. Perdue has served as the state’s Lt. Gov. for eight years and is the Democratic candidate for governor. Marshall is the first woman to serve as the secretary of state in North Carolina. The keynote speeches will begin at 3:25 p.m. Both women will address the positive impact of women business owners on the economy and the state.

Make Mine a Million $ Business™ provides a combination of money, mentoring, marketing and technology tools that help women entrepreneurs grow their businesses from micros to millions. Finalists will be selected from applicants statewide and asked to deliver a business pitch to women entrepreneurs, judges and guests at the event.
