Brown, Fraley and Hutchinson Appointed to Habitat Board
Aberdeen, NC, October 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- On July 1, 2008, Habitat for Humanity of the NC Sandhills appointed Louis Brown, Amie Fraley and Kelly Hutchinson to the Board of Directors. Each member will serve three years, finishing their terms in June of 2011.
Louis Brown is a former Vice President of Sales for CECO Corporation and a former Director of the CECO Corporation. He has been a director of the Illinois PGA Foundation. He currently is a director of the C. Louis Meyer Foundation. He is co-founder of Forest Creek Golf Club. His wife Sally recently chaired the 2008 Habitat Spring Gala. Louis joins the board with an interest in developing Habitat communities.
Amie Fraley is one of the founders of the SPA Finance fiscal literacy program, instituted to assist partner families to acquire healthy spending and saving habits. Amie will continue to work with family support and will serve on the Finance Committee. She worked for Dixon Odom (now Dixon Hughes) accounting and auditing firm. Now she is the mother of three children, on the Sandhills Farm Life PTA and a Girl Scout leader.
Kelly Hutchinson has been a vital member of the team that brought Richmond County into Habitat’s service area. She has worked for Habitat on Family Selection and Support, with land acquisition, and is an active member of the Richmond County Committee. She volunteers at Richmond County Community Support Center and is a Management Team member of First in Families of the Sandhills. She has an Associate’s Degree in Human Services, is married and the mother of two sons.
Habitat for Humanity of Moore County is a Christian, housing ministry that is able to offer interest-free mortgages to individuals in need of simple, decent housing. Habitat partners with families, volunteers, churches and community organizations to work toward our goal of ending sub-standard housing in the Sandhills.
