Glaxo Smith Kline Teams Up with Habitat

Aberdeen, NC, October 04, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Habitat for Humanity of the NC Sandhills has another team player added to its roster of community supporters. GSK (GlaxoSmithKline), a worldwide leader in creating and delivering educational curriculum for general pharma and HIV medications, is joining ranks with Habitat to aid our local community. Their philosophy of "not only being a multi-national corporation but also being involved at the local level" plays out in their involvement with the local Food Bank, the Durham Rescue Mission, and the Ronald McDonald House to name only a few.

Stacey Lindley, Director of RTP Pharma and HIV Sales Training for GSK, brings with her a wealth of information, experience in sales, training, and marketing, and expertise as a district manager. Along with her team, 3,500 professional sales representatives and 350 district sales managers have been educated in seven general pharma medications and 4 HIV medications. She heads a training team that consists of 8 product training managers, 5 product trainers and a business analysis trainer. Combine that with two special project rotations and you have a person who knows how to get things done.

GlaxoSmithKline and Habitat for Humanity of the NC Sandhills have a common goal. Each is determined to be members of the local community, involved in making life better for those in need. When two programs like these come together, the future holds great promise. Habitat and GSK make a difference in Richmond and Moore counties.

Habitat for Humanity of the NC Sandhills is a Christian, housing ministry that is able to offer interest-free mortgages to individuals in need of simple, decent housing. They partner with families, volunteers, churches and community organizations to work toward their goal of ending sub-standard housing in the Sandhills.
