Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) to Issue Certified Federation for Identity and Cross Credentialing Systems (FiXs) Credentials

Strategic Agreement Executed with FiXs partner WidePoint Corporation.

Fairfax, VA, October 05, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA), a provider of enterprise-wide information technology solutions and security services to government and industry, announced today that it has entered into a strategic Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Operational Research Consultants, Inc. (ORC), a wholly owned subsidiary of WidePoint Corporation (AMEX: WYY), to issue Federation for Identity and Cross-Credentialing Systems® (FiXs) Certified Credentials to its employees and customers.

FiXs identity credentialing network is the only network certified to interoperate with the Defense Cross-Credentialing Identification System (DCCIS) infrastructure and the credentialing network of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

“DSA has long been dedicated to providing information assurance solutions that keep DoD net-centric systems safe from harm,” states Charles Cooks, DSA vice president for Intelligence, Civil and National Security Programs. “Our partnership with ORC and its parent WidePoint Corporation enables us to offer a further layer of identity security, and the resulting peace of mind in knowing that users are able to access only the facilities and information to which they have been granted authority.”

Under the scope of this Agreement, DSA will offer hardware assurance tokens and associated certificates that are recognized by DoD divisions as providing the same level of security protection as the certificate on a Common Access Card (CAC), which identifies and authenticates users by controlling access to computer networks, encrypting e-mail messages and enabling users to sign documents electronically.

WidePoint CTO Daniel Turissini said, “We are happy to work with our FiXs partner, DSA, in the proliferation of this capability, which is vitally important to our nation’s critical infrastructure protection. As the Federal Government continues to demand increased identity assurance, FiXs certified credentials are rapidly becoming the answer for the Federal contracting community to meet the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Homeland Security Presidential Directive/HSPD-12 mandates. This agreement opens another pipeline that will enable WidePoint to service tens of thousands subscribers across the continental United States. It also marks another milestone in the growing subscriber market for strong authentication credentials in a Business to Government environment, where WidePoint and its ORC subsidiary continue to lead.”
