Orlando, FL, October 06, 2008 --(PR.com)-- NBAA –Avidyne Corporation, a leading provider of integrated flight deck and safety systems for general aviation aircraft, announced today that it is partnering with WSI Corporation to provide datalink weather to operators of aircraft worldwide. “Through this partnership with Avidyne, international aircraft operators can now enjoy the safety and operational benefits of WSI aviation weather that was previously available only in North America,” said Mark D. Miller, Vice President and General Manager of WSI’s Aviation Business. “Because of our many years experience providing weather decision-making products to the commercial airlines, WSI is ideally positioned to provide global weather to Avidyne customers via the MLX770,” continued Miller.

Avidyne and WSI originally teamed in 2007 to develop and manufacture Avidyne’s MLB700 and the WSI AV-300 and AV-350 satellite weather data and audio receivers, designed to receive WSI InFlight® weather services and SIRIUS Satellite Radio programming. These datalink products , developed by the Avidyne Safety Systems Group in Columbus, OH, are manufactured at Avidyne’s facilities in Melbourne, FL.
