Santa Ana College Offers Adult Financial Literacy Workshops

Santa Ana, CA, October 05, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Don’t outlive your income – “Money for Life 101TM” is the first in the series.

Santa Ana College was prompted to expand their financial literacy workshops by a June, 2007 national survey of investors by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc., FINRA™, showing 78% of investors were anxious about losing money on their investments and 71% were anxious about outliving their retirement income. The vast majority of investors expressed a high degree of interest in investor education that was unbiased. SAC is in a unique position to provide that platform by simply expanding its current financial workshop offerings.

Don’t outlive your income – “Money for Life 101TM” is the first in a series of one-night, 3-hour financial literacy workshops given by Santa Ana College’s Community Services Program. This workshop is an unbiased step for investors to discover if Fixed Annuities fit into their investment portfolio.

Information is provided by Dr. Steve Weisbart, Chief Economist for the Insurance Information Institute. The workshop is from 6:00 to 9 p.m. Oct. 14. The cost is $49 per person and $79 per couple.
