Soldier Wish Campaign Created by Social Networking Company Wishy

Wishy, Inc. announces that it has created the Soldier Wish Campaign, a nonprofit initiative that will enable everyday Americans to grant some of our soldier’s wishes this holiday season.

Tacoma, WA, October 06, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Wishy, Inc. is pleased to announce today that it has created the Soldier Wish Campaign, a nonprofit initiative that will enable everyday Americans to grant some of our soldier’s wishes this holiday season. Soldier Wish is a unique way in which citizens can give back to our heroes deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan and to their families in a safe and secure manner online.

“We’re excited and honored to offer this opportunity to the American public to say ‘thank you’ to the troops,” said Jared Still, SVP and Co Founder of Wishy. “While there are many other worthy programs, the Soldier Wish Campaign allows the men and women of our armed forces to select exactly what they and their families need to make their lives a little bit easier. It also allows individuals to choose exactly how they’ll help specific men and women in uniform.”

Still is a combat veteran and former Air Force officer. Having been decorated with the Bronze Star Medal in Iraq for actions under fire, he knows firsthand the sacrifice our men and women in uniform and their families make every day.

Federico Pacquing, CEO of Wishy, is a United States Air Force Academy graduate, a former officer and was a rescue worker in the Oklahoma City bombing. Of the Soldier Wish Campaign, Pacquing said, “Whatever a person’s view of the war, every American should agree that our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines sacrifice a great deal to ensure our freedom. Every politician and pundit claims they ‘support our troops’ regardless of their political affiliation. We believe that actions speak louder than words, and we’re glad that we’ve been able to create a program where individual Americans can begin to give back in an amazing way.”

Built on Wishy’s Platform, the Soldier Wish Campaign allows for individual servicemen and their families to create Wish Lists online. These Wish Lists will be able to be viewed on www.soldierwish.com in mid-November. Individual Americans can then browse through these lists and purchase items via their secure servers. All personal information including the soldier’s shipping addresses, their families addresses, and the buyer’s credit card information are encrypted and kept confidential from the other party.

“Our troops and their families have sacrificed more than most of us will ever know," said Deano Sutter, Wishy's President and Founder. "I believe most of America would like to support them, but do not know how. We want to bring feet to their intention and give American's a tangible and significant way to give back."

About Soldier Wish Campaign
The Soldier Wish Campaign is an initiative that focuses on giving back to the Soldiers, Seamen and Airmen of the United States military that have sacrificed so much for our country. Created by Wishy, Inc., the Campaign allows Americans to easily log onto the Soldierwish.com website and view a list of Wishes that our men and women in uniform have made for themselves and for their families. Citizens can then purchase these wishes easily and securely – all payment information for the purchaser and shipping information for the soldier are kept confidential.

The Soldier Wish Campaign is a real way Americans can say “thank you” to our men and women in uniform for the sacrifice that they and their families make every day for our freedom.
