Habitat Needs Volunteers for Electrical Crew

Aberdeen, NC, October 08, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Interested in learning about electrical components and how a house is wired? Habitat for Humanity of the NC Sandhills is looking for people of all skill levels. Even if plugging in the television is the extent of your electrical experience, Habitat will train you. Now is the chance to become a Habitat for Humanity electrical volunteer.

In the next few weeks Habitat will be training those men and women volunteers who would like to be on its “electrical crew”. They will learn how a house is wired and eventually become an integral volunteer of every home built for God’s people in need. They will always work under the guidance of a licensed electrician and be a part of an important team in the construction of a Habitat home.

If interested, please call Judie Wiggins, Volunteer Coordinator, at 295-1934.

Habitat for Humanity of the NC Sandhills is a Christian, housing ministry that is able to offer interest-free mortgages to individuals in need of simple, decent housing. They partner with families, volunteers, churches and community organizations to work toward our goal of ending sub-standard housing in the Sandhills.

If you have any questions or would like to get involved with Habitat for Humanity please contact Amanda Jakl at 910.334.1162 or 910.295.1934. Habitat is currently seeking volunteers and supporters of all kinds. www.sandhillshabitat.org
