Jeru Tillman & Troy Carter Present The Barack the Vote Comedy Show; The Wilshire Theatre, LA October 15th 2008 Hosted by Tommy Davidson with music by DJ Biz Markie

Los Angeles, CA, October 11, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Some of the biggest names in comedy converge onto the Wilshire Theatre on October 15th for a night of entertainment to inspire residents of Los Angeles to have their voices heard in the upcoming election. Noting the low numbers of registered voters among the African American community during this crucial race, KJLH, 93.5 The Beat of LA, Barackawear.com and LA’s celebrity community determined to join forces for this important cause. “Troy Carter and I thought this would be a great opportunity to energize the community to participate in this historic election, and enjoy a great night of entertainment” says event producer Jeru Tillman.

Along with great comedy, host Tommy Davidson and the sounds of Biz Markie on the turntables, AJ Jamal, Chris Spencer, Alex Thomas and Tony Rock will be performing along with numerous surprise entertainers.

Admission to this free event requires a completed voter registration card; which can be completed at the theatre night of show, or a valid ID presented by a registered voter. Anyone who wants to enjoy the evening that has already registered is asked to inspire friends and family to register.

The event will be a pro-Obama event, and clips from recent speeches with be shown.

The deadline for voter registration in Los Angeles County is October 20th, 2008 to vote in this election.
