School Window Breakers Detected by Sonitrol Pacific, Arrested

Lakewood, WA, October 12, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Police arrested two people suspected of breaking windows at a Washington middle school after the school’s Sonitrol Pacific security system detected the criminal activity October 9.

Jaime Maranville, an experienced Sonitrol Pacific operator and expert sound analyst, received a signal activation from the school and heard sounds indicating glass breaking. She immediately dispatched Pierce County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Maranville continued to monitor activity at the school through real-time audio and within minutes heard deputies arrive, announce themselves and tell the suspects to put their hands up. Two individuals were taken into custody.

Two school windows were broken, but no other damage was done and the suspects didn’t get inside the school.
