NuOpus Launches PCI Practice in Raleigh Area

NuOpus has launched a PCI and IFRS practice in the Raleigh-Durham area. The practice headed by Laney Dale will provide consulting and services to clients in the North Carolina area.

Raleigh, NC, October 15, 2008 --(PR.com)-- NuOpus has launched a PCI and IFRS practice in the Raleigh-Durham area. The practice headed by Laney Dale will provide consulting and services to clients in the North Carolina, Los Angeles, and European Markets.

In September of 2008 the SEC voted unanimously to seek public comments on a proposed road-map for the potential mandatory adoption of IFRS in the US from 2014, as well as a proposed rule that would allow the optional use of IFRS by certain companies as early as 2009.

Managing Partner Laney Dale said "IFRS is an emerging market here in the US and we believe that our experience with IFRS from our European clients will allow us to assist our clients and simplify their transition to those standards."

NuOpus will offer several different services to their PCI Clients including ASV, QSA, and penetration testing services. NuOpus's services are targeted towards businesses of all sizes, and the staff at NuOpus include members that have been working with Payment Card Industry standards for over ten years. Managing Partner Laney Dale worked with Visa to design their security standards while with KPMG Los Angeles.

NuOpus is currently working with Duke University to assist in training their staff on the PCI DSS and how they can best adopt the standards.
