A Big Texas Welcome Home

Tillman Troops.org™ Announces December 14th “A Big Texas Welcome Home” Event with Northwest Forest Conference Center to Honor Houston Area U.S. Service Members.

Houston, TX, October 16, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Tillman Troops™ announced that it has teamed up with the Northwest Forest Conference Center, Cypress, Texas to sponsor “A Big Texas Welcome Home” event recognizing and honoring Houston area military service members who recently serve along with their family members and supporters.

Tillman Troops™ , in coordination with Ms. Victoria Herman, director of the Northwest Forest Conference Center, has arranged a Texas BBQ dinner at the conference center on December 14th. A raffle and silent auction will be conducted to raise funds for programs and services offered by Tillman Troops™. All services for the event will be donated by local area vendors and community organizations.

Loree Tillman, director and founder of Tillman Troops™, has been supporting over 200 service members and is helping make dreams come true for deployed and returning local heroes. A wife of a US Navy officer presently serving in Khowst province, Afghanistan, she continues her own energetic efforts on the home front, striving to identify and arrange opportunities for Houston area service members to enjoy the recognition, gratitude and support they richly deserve.

She recently joined forces with Toby Keith’s TKO Management company to arrange complimentary tickets for the September 6th show at the Cynthia Woods Pavilion in The Woodlands, as part of their ongoing support to honor those who have given so much in the line of duty. The Cheese Cake Factory donated dinner for the honorees prior to the show.

Loree stated “Freedom isn’t free and we must do our part to thank these service members who give so much and put their lives on the line for us.”
