Ashworth University Continues Support of Area CHOP College Fairs

Ashworth University will be on hand to speak with Georgia high school students when it participates at two upcoming area College Fairs produced by Community Hope Outreach Program Corporation (CHOP), November 14 and 15.

Norcross, GA, October 25, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Ashworth University will be on hand to speak with Georgia high school students when it participates at two upcoming area College Fairs produced by Community Hope Outreach Program Corporation (CHOP).

The first fair will be held on November 14, on the campus of Clark Atlanta University and followed by a second fair on November 15 at the Wyndham Peachtree conference Center in Peachtree City.

“This is a great opportunity to get in front of prospective students and their parents,” said Jon Bouffler, Ashworth Executive Vice President. “Because of the current economy, there may be many high school students wondering how they will be able to afford college. We want to assure them that they can have an affordable, quality, and accredited program.”

Bouffler also explained that Ashworth doesn’t receive Federal funds and is not required to follow the mandates of the No Child Left Behind Act.

“Because we do not require standardized tests, SAT/ACT scores or minimum GPA’s, Ashworth makes it possible for more high school students to attend college,” he said. “And because we are distance education, we don’t have the overhead that our brick and mortar counterparts have. This helps make us significantly more affordable.

Ashworth initially participated in the "CHOP It Up/UBASH Weekend,” held October 3 on the Clarkston campus of Georgia Perimeter College.
