Anderson & Anderson Releases New Physician Client Workbook, The Practice of Control

Los Angeles, CA, October 29, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Anderson & Anderson, the major provider of coaching for “disruptive physicians”, has now published its comprehensive workbook specifically designed to address the new JCAHO required intervention for “disruptive physicians”.

This is the first and only curriculum in publication available for the medical community based on the topic of “disruptive behavior” in health care organizations.

The Practice of Control is written in a workbook format with exercises, quizzes, graphics, and hospital based workplace scenarios. The four topics covered in this text are the same topics that are the focus of the comprehensive assessment used for all executive coaching clients.

The four areas of concentration for the Anderson & Anderson curriculum are: recognition and management of anger, recognition and management of stress, the extent to which assertive communication is the preferred style or interpersonal interaction, and the level of empathy/emotional intelligence.

The initial reaction to this new publication is overwhelmingly positive.

Although the workbook is limited to usage with the Anderson & Anderson Executive Coaching program, the company has made it available for purchase on its website. Unlike previously released Anderson & Anderson workbooks, The Practice of Control and the new edition of Gaining Control of Ourselves (the anger management client workbook) are presented with the diagrams and pictures in color. This makes the presentation a bit more professional and attractive to the reader. Department Chairs of Physician Wellbeing Committees and Medical Directors of Hospitals are encouraged to purchase a copy so that they can gain a better sense of what the Executive Coaching process will be like for physicians and high level medical staff who are wanting (or required) to address disruptive behavior.

Copies of this publication can be purchased, and more information about the Anderson & Anderson Executive Coaching Program, can be obtained by calling their headquarters at 310-207-3591, or by visiting their company website.
