With a name like that some people may think they're joking, but the application and selection process is very straightforward. This is a too-good-to-be-true opportunity-- that doesn't have a catch.

CollegeZapps is sponsoring a $5,000 scholarship to help fund one lucky student's future in higher education-- a.k.a. free money for college. Students can apply online at www.CollegeZapps.com or by visiting www.ScholarshipExperts.com. By responding to a few general information questions (name, address, date of graduation, etc.) and answering an open response question, the student is already halfway done.

Showing proof of enrollment as a high school junior or senior is the other half. The student must also be a legal resident of one of our glorious 50 states (or the District of Columbia). The winner will be picked based on their response to the open writing section.

The writing portion will give students a chance to do something they may rarely get to do on a scholarship: fabricate their answers. It poses a question concerning creativity and the essay writing section that appears on most college applications. The response should be no less than 250 words and no more than 500.
