About The Bearded Ladies Production Company-

The Bearded Ladies Production Co. was created in March of 2008 by sisters Anne Marie Beard and Allison (Beard) Wall. After a long day at a local shopping event in San Diego most sisters would be tired, but Anne Marie and Allison were spurred on knowing the event they had just come from could have been better – for the vendor and shopper alike. After brainstorming for several hours for that “perfect” name, The Bearded Ladies Production Co. was born. Anne Marie and Allison’s goal is to connect vendors who represent the taste, culture, and fun environment of Austin with shoppers who expect the latest in design and quality. The Bearded Ladies Present: Shop Austin will be their first event, but definitely not their last.

About Anne Marie Beard & Allison (Beard) Wall-

Anne Marie and Allison, 5th generation Austinites, have family roots that run deep in the capital city of Texas. Their family’s ancestors include a rich heritage of Sharp Shooters, Entrepreneurs, Antiques Dealers, Artists and even an original Texas Ranger.

Anne Marie, the younger of the two sisters, discovered her love of art at an early age and was thrilled to have a Grandfather with a passion for art and a Mother and Grandmother who shared their sewing skills with her. Anne Marie earned her BA in Costume Design from the University of Texas, and began her business designing handbags while still a Senior. Since 2002 Anne Marie has participated in hundreds of shows around Texas, and has earned a reputation for excellence in design and construction of her fabulous artisan handbags and accessories. Anne Marie's work cannot be defined by a single category such as craft, art, or fashion: it is a culmination of all three. It is her unique style and value of quality that will attract vendors whose work is similarly appealing across multiple markets.

Her sister Allison (Beard) Wall, although a true Texan through and through, currently resides in San Diego, CA with her husband of 19 years, Kevin Wall, and two daughters, Greta, 16 and Erin, 14. There is only one thing that could drag Allison away from Austin, and that would be the US Navy. Traveling the country as a “Navy wife” has given Allison the opportunity to volunteer for such positions as Ombudsman for the USS Gato SSN 615, President of the Charter Advisory Council and School Board for The Learning Choice Academy, all the while successfully owning two businesses. All of Allison's experiences proved helpful in mentoring Anne Marie in structuring, developing and promoting her own business. Working together over time it became apparent that strong and independent-minded sisters could get along. The sisters decided to partner and try their hand at producing an event. Anne Marie's creativity and Allison's entrepreneurial experience combine to form The Bearded Ladies Production Company. They are confident their experience and energy will revolutionize the arena of shopping event productions.
