Youth Services Bureau of Huntington County Appears on "Connecting Your Passion"
Huntington, IN, November 02, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Ron Louth and Ryan Beeching, Program Coordinators of Youth Services Bureau of Huntington County were guests on Connecting Your Passion Public Access show hosted by Joe Dager of Business901. The show will air on November 4th at 9:00 AM. This is a bi-monthly program that is hosted on the Fort Wayne Public Access station. It is an interview type format and focuses on the participating Nonprofit’s Story. The highlight of the show is the difference they have made in someone’s life. The YSB was founded in 1987. The primary goal of the agency was and still is to provide programs and services that address the complex issues of young people and their families. The four core roles that were identified in 1987 continue to be the focus of our many programs and services today.

Delinquency Diversion
Youth Advocacy
Information and Referral
Community Education
The primary objective of every program or service provided is to help instill a sense of competency, usefulness, empowerment and belonging to all that are served. The mission of the YSB is to provide an environment in which everyone who comes in contact with a Youth Services Bureau staff, volunteer or Board member will be empowered with the tools and confidence to change their own destiny through programs and services that help fulfill the mission of the agency. In 2006, the Youth Services Bureau of Huntington County provided assistance to over1600 youth or family members in Huntington County. Youth and families are impacted by 20 programs delivered by the YSB. Some of the other things that YSB of Huntington County does that came out in the show:
YSB is there for children who need assistance with free school supplies.
YSB is there for teen parents who need clothes for their children through the use of the On Your Way Up Store.
YSB is there to empower, support and encourage parents as they face the joys and challenges of being a parent.
