Senator Stephen Wise Tours Roadmaster Drivers School of Jacksonville, Florida
Jacksonville, FL, November 08, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Senator Stephen Wise visited Roadmaster Drivers School of Jacksonville, Florida last week. He was able to tour this nationwide truck driving school with Roadmaster School Director, Daryl McDaniel.
Senator Wise, a Republican first elected to the Senate in 2001, represents District 5 which includes Nassau, Duval, Clay and St. John County in Northeastern Florida. Roadmaster Drivers School resides on 1409 Pickettville Rd in Jacksonville which is the county seat of Duval County. Senator Wise commented, “It was great to visit the Roadmaster Drivers School yesterday. Your trucking school is exciting and somehow we need to change the thought pattern and perception that driving an 18-wheeler is not a highly skilled profession. It is obvious that it takes skill because my skill behind the wheel would take a great deal of practice prior to going out on the road and,” he mused, “then I would be really dangerous (!)”
Mr. McDaniel remarked, “We were extremely pleased to welcome Senator Wise to our campus. We were able to show him around the grounds, give him a chance to get into our trucks and see what truck driving is all about. We definitely appreciated the opportunity!”
Fellow Florida Republican Bryan Nelson, Representative from District 38, which includes northwest Orange County, also took the opportunity to visit a Roadmaster Drivers School recently. At Roadmaster Drivers School of Orlando, Representative Nelson credited short-term training schools like Roadmaster Drivers School for allowing students to develop the skills they need to get into their chosen career fields quickly.
