2006 North Carolina Education Ball to be Held in Raleigh

State leaders join the community and business leaders to celebrate education in North Carolina.

Raleigh, NC, June 02, 2006 --(PR.com)-- North Carolina’s business, community and education leaders along with Communities in Schools of North Carolina will come together on Saturday, June 3rd at the Progress Energy Center for Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh for the 2006 North Carolina Education Ball.

“Under the Silver Moon” is the theme of the evening, which will celebrate educational advancements in North Carolina communities as well as the individuals who have diligently worked to improve the educational experience for students. Entertainment will include performances by local school groups and Broadway legends, Oh! Those Voices! the New York Baritones.

The 12 finalists for H. Glenn Williams “Power of One Awards” have been invited to attend and the recipients for the 2006 award will be announced at the Education Ball.

Proceeds from the North Carolina Education Ball will support Communities in Schools of North Carolina. Communities in Schools is the largest dropout prevention network in the country.
