London, United Kingdom, November 18, 2008 --(PR.com
)-- Raise a toast to the season with the Seven Deadly Glasses collection, by designer Kacper Hamilton, now available exclusively at ShopCurious.com.
Taking his inspiration from the works of Marquis de Sade, Charles Baudelaire, Alexander Dumas and other classic literature, Hamilton has created a wine glass to represent each of the seven deadly sins. Intended as red wine glasses, they encourage people to “celebrate passion by drinking wine in a sinful and theatrical fashion,” according to Susan Muncey, creator and “curator” of ShopCurious.com, home of curious and unusual gifts.
Every glass design provides a dramatic and different drinking experience, from the Lust Glass which excites with the delicate and sensual feeding of wine through a glass ball, to the Gluttony Glass – a glass for those who like to feast with no shame.
Hamilton approaches his design in a traditional style, using high quality materials and products which are hand made by experienced craftsmen. “This comes from my inspiration: the way of life in previous centuries, where cloths and furniture were bespoke and made to order. Everything was custom made so each person had some sort of involvement in the design process.”
“The Seven Deadly Glasses could be the most decadent Christmas present ever,” according to Muncey. Muncey is passionate about finding unique, inspiring and unusual gift items for ShopCurious.com, whether they are new or vintage, and has a knack for uncovering talented designers who share her curiosity for life.
The limited edition Seven Deadly Glasses sell from £320 and up, but ShopCurious.com also carries a range of unique, curious and unusual gifts starting from under £15.
