UKFast Wins MEN Business of the Year Award

UKFast wins Manchester Evening News Business of the year award for the £10m category.

Manchester, United Kingdom, November 19, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Manchester-based internet hosting provider, UKFast, is crowned the Manchester Evening News' Business of the Year for the £10m turnover category.

The judging panel included representatives from the MEN, PBS, PWC and Pinsent Masons. They said this year's awards attracted one of the strongest fields in the event's history, with all finalists showing impressive leadership and innovation in their chosen sectors.

Winners were also praised for investing heavily in their northwest operations and product development.

Managing director, Lawrence Jones, said: "We're really pleased to have won the Business of the Year Award. It’s a real encouragement to everyone at UKFast that hard work gets results and this will help to spur us on to even greater heights. In a few years we hope to be aiming for the over £50m turnover category.

A total of six awards were given at the awards. Other winners were PZ Cussons, NCC Group, Advanced Medical Solutions, Getting Personal and Vimto maker, Nichols.

It has been a great month for UKFast. The Business of the Year acclaim comes just days after UKFast won a place in the Deloitte Fast 50 as one of the country's quickest growing technology businesses.
