Sun Brand Technologies Defies Credit Crunch to Double in Size

Bradford, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom, November 21, 2008 --(PR.com)-- In a move that defies the credit crunch, Sun Brand Technologies has expanded its business team with the addition of eight new employees. In today’s tough economic climate more companies are realising they need to streamline their processes to reduce costs. Those in the know have turned to Sun Brand Technologies’ innovative brand management software, Odin, which improves the efficiency of the design-to-print supply chain.

Alistair Alderson and Chris Furminger have joined the team as software developer and client support manager respectively, whilst Sajad Hussain, Scott Stainforth and Suhkvinder Kaur all join in first and second line support roles. The expansion continues with Annie Haigh now on board as project co-ordinator and the most recent appointment of Julie Ford as business consultant.

A unique management solution that monitors progress, assigns tasks and develops online artwork, Odin ensures product delivery to market faster, more efficiently and with decreased costs, whilst giving visibility and control of the entire process to the brand manager. Comprising four modules: Odin On Time, Odin Assets, Odin Spirit and the recently added Brand Toolbox, the framework provides an easy-to-use, flexible system to suit companies’ requirements.

Martin Hawkins, Executive Director of Sun Brand Technologies attributes the success of Odin partly to companies needing to deliver significant cost savings during the economic downturn. He comments: “In these uncertain times, retailers are making serious demands on suppliers, driving businesses down on a range of issues, including cost, speed-to-market and consumer demand. Our recent expansion reflects this, with more and more companies strategically addressing these concerns to stay ahead of the competition and ultimately, in business.

“Even in tough periods consumers expect a constant flow of product innovation and with systems such as Odin organisations can streamline the design-to-print process, driving down costs and helping to boost profits by ensuring products are up-to-date and on-shelf. Brand managers are able to track work procedures efficiently, delivering tangible results and a proven return on investment – which is more important then ever in the current climate.”
