Food Safety Handler Course Avaialable Online

Orlando, FL, November 26, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The National Registry of Food Safety Professionals, which is one of the exam programs of Environmental Health Testing, or EHT, has collaborated with the Hotel and Restaurant Training Services to launch the Food Handler online food safety training and certification course. EHT is an examination development and administration company based in Orlando specializing in environmental health and providing certification exams and related services.

The concept of the Food Handler program is to allow anyone who handles or prepares food to access the same training that the professionals have. The user-friendly design is ideal for professionals as well as a family or day care cook.

The online Food Handler Certification Course is self paced and narrated. The course is typically completed in one to two hours, but once a course is registered and paid for there is a 24 hour window to complete it. Upon completion of the course the National Food Registry certificate and identification will be mailed within seven business days, certification is valid for three years.

Certification has many benefits for both employees and companies. For an employee certification demonstrates an employee’s commitment to personal and professional growth and is proof the employee is well trained and has the necessary skills and knowledge to excel at their job.

For a company, a certification program is essential to facilitate reliability and security. The certification will increase worker competency and performance, which in turn will increase competitiveness and profitability.

EHT specializes in testing solutions for established and emerging environmental health professions. EHT will assist with all aspects of examination administration, candidate-accreditation preparation, security, registration, scoring and reporting services.
