Moss & Associates Wins Four Prestigious Awards from Associated Builders and Contractors of South Florida

Fort Lauderdale, FL, November 26, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Three high-profile projects built by Moss & Associates, one of Florida’s largest construction management companies, have received 2008 Excellence in Construction Awards from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Florida East Coast Chapter. ABC also presented Moss with its Platinum Safety Training and Evaluation Process Award, recognizing exceptional safety practices.

Honored with Eagle Awards, the highest level of achievement, were: The Colonnade, a self-contained residential community constructed by Moss in Kendall; and The Commons, a 520-bed dormitory at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) built by the Moss/Miller Joint Venture. Both projects will now be considered for ABC Awards of Excellence recognition at the national level.

Rebuilding the exterior curtain wall system of the 15-story K.C. Wright office tower in downtown Fort Lauderdale for the School Board of Broward County garnered Moss & Associates an ABC Excellence in Construction Merit Award.

At the Colonnade, Moss served as construction manager for owner Lennar Developers, Inc. (LDI) on the $101 million construction project. The Colonnade features 296 luxury condominiums in two 10-story structures that total 915,000 square feet.

The $45 million Commons dormitory complex was the third major project on NSU’s Davie, Fla. campus by Moss/Miller Joint Venture, LLC, a partnership between Moss and Miller Construction Company, both based in Fort Lauderdale. The Moss/Miller partnership has also completed NSU’s $75 million multipurpose University Center and an adjoining Performing & Visual Arts Center.
