Manhattan Beach Pier Lighting Is a Little Greener This Year -- Again

Manhattan Beach, CA, December 07, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The 19th Annual Manhattan Beach Holiday Pier Lighting is again a little greener this year, thanks to local business 3 Phases Renewables. 3 Phases Renewables is providing approximately 9,000 kilowatt-hours of renewable energy credits to offset the energy used by the holiday lights that decorate the Manhattan Beach pier. This is the second consecutive year that 3 Phases Renewables is greening the holidays in the City of Manhattan Beach.

This donation prevents 18,882 lbs of carbon dioxide from being emitted into the atmosphere, which is equivalent to planting about 8 acres of trees.

The Pier Lighting ceremony takes place on Saturday, December 6th, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Manhattan Beach Pier.
