About the Founder
Loree Tillman started her donation drives and organization in 2007 when her husband, a US Navy Reservist, was mobilized for service in Afghanistan. Realizing that there are other service members with fewer resources and can't give the ongoing care package support, her dining room became a "command central" supporting hundreds of other service members and some from the Houston area. Tillman Troops currently supports over 200 service members and is currently expanding their services to include "Books for the Brave," a project designed to procure and distribute best selling books for our troops that are convalescing at Veterans' Administration and other hospital facilities in the Houston area.
