New York, NY, December 18, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Alan J. Morrison, a partner in the New York City law firm of Cohen Pontani Lieberman & Pavane LLP, has been tapped to author a subchapter on U.S. patent enforcement methods for inclusion in the tentatively titled IP Issues in the Therapeutic Antibody Industry by Dr. Ulrich Storz, a partner in the Düsseldorf law firm of Michalski Huettermann & Partner.

According to Morrison, “Developments in recombinant antibody technology have resulted in a proliferation of therapeutic antibody patents internationally. These patents, like others in the biotech and pharmaceutical fields, are being enforced with increasing frequency.”

Mr. Morrison’s sub-chapter will provide a general synopsis of U.S. enforcement procedures. IP Issues in the Therapeutic Antibody Industry will be included in the 2009 edition of Antibody Engineering published by Springer Lab Manuals.
