American Sleep Apnea Association Calls for Assistance in Combat of Financial Crisis

Organization for sleep apnea awareness aims to meet challenges of future endeavors.

Washington, DC, December 25, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The American Sleep Apnea Association (ASAA) will celebrate a big anniversary in 2010. For twenty years the ASAA will have been the source for unbiased information and support for those with sleep apnea.

The A.W.A.K.E. Network and the Apnea Support Forum online are resources for those challenged by treatment or wanting to know more about sleep apnea. The ASAA’s executive director, Edward Grandi, posts his reflections on sleep apnea on his blog and serves at the association’s spokesperson to the media looking for input about the condition.

The ASAA’s educational bulletins and the new Sleep Apnea DVD are available in physician’s offices and on the official web site. They provide guidance to those seeking basic information about diagnosis and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

The year of 2008 has been one of financial challenges for many and the ASAA has not been immune from such a financial crisis, with the year about to end with dangerously low fund balances.

If the ASAA has made a difference in your life this year or in the life of someone you care about, contributions are requested to keep helping others in need. The years ahead hold much promise and a strong ASAA is needed to help meet the challenges of the baby boomers and their children who also seek help.
