Kindergarten Room Caper Nets Four Sonitrol Pacific Assisted Arrests

Stanwood, WA, January 04, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Island County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested four juveniles suspected of breaking into an elementary school on New Year’s Eve after the school’s Sonitrol Pacific security system detected suspicious activity.

Sonitrol Pacific Operator Jaime Maranville received activations of the schools audio security system. She heard voices and dispatched deputies to the school.

When officers arrived, they found an unlocked window to one of the school’s kindergarten rooms. Soon after, they located four juveniles who got into the school through the unlocked window. All four were taken into custody.

Sonitrol Pacific began providing electronic security to schools and businesses in the Pacific Northwest in 1978. Since then, they've assisted law enforcement in the arrest of more than 5,000 suspected criminals. In 2008 alone, police arrested 177 suspects after a call from Sonitrol Pacific.
