VacationTax.com - New Tax Firm Looks to Ease Travel Budget Woes

VacationTax.com founder Jeff Wagner asks, "If frequent vacationers are forced to cut back, imagine what it’s like for those of us who only dream of travel."

Oxnard, CA, January 06, 2009 --(PR.com)-- According to The New York Times, Airlines are reporting sharp declines in passenger traffic. Hotel occupancy rates are down, and corporate travel managers are demanding new concessions on previously negotiated deals. Cancellations are starting to rise even at four- and five-star hotels, which previously seemed immune to the economy's travails.

VacationTax.com founder Jeff Wagner asks, "If frequent vacationers are forced to cut back, imagine what it’s like for those of us who only dream of travel." Last year Wagner and his family won a trip to Disney World through a raffle. They were able to fly for the first time and see places they never thought they would. He added, "If we didn’t win, that magical holiday would have never happened."

To help combat increasing fears that the middle class can only hope to win a fun getaway like theirs, he launched VacationTax.com. The online & in-person travel based tax prep service helps clients prepare tax refunds and, if desired, shows them how to use that refund to take a trip they never thought possible.

In an effort to share their message, VacationTax.com has set up a web site, opened a modest office, joined the Oxnard Chamber of Commerce, and started a small nationwide marketing campaign. In addition to tax refunds, VacationTax.com offers links to various travel outlets in a format that facilitates comparison shopping.
