Voices Heard Through Sonitrol Pacific Audio Sensors Alert to Break-in

Marysville, WA, January 07, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Deputies arrested three juveniles suspected of breaking into a school in Washington after audio sensors in the school’s Sonitrol Pacific security system detected whispering voices January 3.

Operator Tara Fulmer received the system’s activation signal and listened to real-time audio from the school to verify the alarm. An expert sound analyst, Fulmer heard what she suspected to be teenage boys whispering and called the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies and members of the Tribal Police arrived quickly on scene and apprehended two young men and one young woman.

In the last week, 12 suspects have been taken into custody after a call from Sonitrol Pacific. In addition to the three suspects arrested January 3, nine were arrested on December 31 from two different schools in Washington.

Sonitrol Pacific has provided electronic security to schools and businesses in the Pacific Northwest since 1978. During those 30 years, more than 5,020 suspects have been taken off the streets after detection by a Sonitrol Pacific security system.
