Finally a Water Bottle Solution

Phoenix based company offers custom water in biodegradable bottles.

Phoenix, AZ, January 08, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Finally a Water Bottle That Biodegrades.

It’s Green, Guilt free and Good for You.

Billions of plastic water bottles are thrown away each day and most will languish forever as garbage. Now there is an alternative; a bottle that is not only recyclable, but will biodegrade in a landfill, a compost heap, or wherever it is discarded.

Water Promo, specializing in custom labeled bottled water marketing, now offers customers an alternative to the usual plastic water bottle. This new bottle looks and feels just like a regular water bottle, is BPA free, and when thrown away, will turn into dirt, oxygen and biogas (methane) which can be burned as fuel. It also contains no carcinogens or chemicals that could leach into the water.

“Every company should look at their impact on the environment,” said Teresa Clark, owner of Water Promo. “We try to look beyond the economics of the company and look at the full impact we are having on the planet. It is apparent that a traditional plastic bottle is harmful, and for two years we have been looking for an alternative.”

Clark’s search led her to this new technology. These bottles, supplied by ENSO Bottles, a Phoenix company, will totally biodegrade within one to five years. Already work is underway on a second generation of bottles, which will reduce this time by more than half.

Clark is committed to making the product affordable—especially in this economic climate. “This bottle is one of the most cost effective out there,” she said. “We wanted a bottle that had the same look, feel and shelf life as traditional bottles, but it had to be economically feasible. It is important to me to keep it as affordable for our customers as we can.”

Water Promo, a leader in the industry, is positioning itself to be the first company to offer customers this environmentally friendly alternative. With both local and national customers, Clark hopes her clients will share her outlook.

“Marketing your business by putting your logo on a bottle of water has proven to be very effective advertising,” she said. “Combine this with a biodegradable bottle and it will really catch the attention of advertisers and consumers alike.”
