Scholarships Available for Students Who Dream of a Creative Education

Two tuition scholarships will be awarded on Martin Luther King Jr. Day at The Art Institute of California – Orange County.

Santa Ana, CA, January 08, 2009 --(PR.com)-- High school seniors with the dream of pursuing a creative education are eligible to compete in the “I Have a Dream” Scholarship competition.

On January 19, one first place winner will receive a $3,000 tuition scholarship to The Art Institute of California – Orange County. A second place winner will be awarded a $2,000 tuition scholarship and the third place winner will receive a supply kit from the student store (approximate retail value $1,425).

Students are required to write a 200-800 word essay that describes their career goals and how an Art Institute education can help them achieve those goals. Essays are due January 12.

Winners will be announced at the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Open House on Saturday, January 19. Students and their families can tour the school, meet with admissions representatives and discuss financial aid options.

“This competition is an opportunity for students to explore how they see themselves achieving their dreams,” said Melinda Lester, Dean of Academic Affairs. “The Martin Luther King Jr. Day Open House lets students take advantage of the day off from school to explore their future.”
