Client Says "Yea Sonitrol" After One Arrested

White Salmon, WA, January 14, 2009 --(PR.com)-- A Sonitrol Pacific operator heard sounds of movement and sent Klickitat County Sheriff’s deputies to arrest one at a Washington school January 11.

Operator Minta Christopherson received an initial activation of the school’s system at 1:47 a.m. She contacted the sheriff’s department and a representative from the school. Christopherson continued to listen to real-time audio while officers were en route and heard sounds indicative of movement. Soon after, she heard officers yell, “get on the ground.”

Deputies took one intoxicated man into custody and searched for additional suspects. Two windows were broken during the incident.

The school’s Sonitrol Pacific security system was installed only about eight months ago. A representative from the school was ecstatic about the response of Christopherson and the sheriff’s department and the overall effectiveness of the system, prompting him to say, “yea Sonitrol!”
