HR Industry Veteran Barbara Poole Gives College Students Job Search Advice.

New York, NY, January 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Upcoming graduates, alumni and non-Pace alumni are invited to Pace University January 22nd for its latest seminar, Managing Your Career in an Economic Downturn. The event features a panel of presentations that includes Barbara Poole, a 25 year veteran of the Human Resources industry and founder of www.employaid.com, a leading online resource for career development and HR executives.

The talk will highlight best practice advice for job-seekers in a tough economic climate, job searching and interview techniques as well as ways to change careers. The event also features a unique one-on-one speed coaching session with the panel experts.

“Job hunting can be one of life’s biggest challenges for people in all stages of the career cycle,” Employaid founder Barbara Poole said. “In a volatile economy, many are finding themselves out of a job, or worried about being the next one downsized. This event will provide relevant career assistance, planning and hands on coaching to help people increase their marketability in a rough economy.”

Poole added that the recently launched Employaid Exchange is a valuable resource for people in all stages of the career life cycle who have questions and need best practice advice for professional development. Participants in the Exchange receive confidential personal responses to questions in 1-2 business days.

Managing Your Career in an Economic Downturn will be held Thursday, January 22nd from 6-8 p.m. at the Downtown NYC campus of Pace University: 1 Pace Plaza, Level B, Multipurpose Room. More information can be accessed at: http://www.pace.edu/page.cfm?doc_id=18398.
