Hartsfield-Jackson Launches YouTube Channel

Hartsfield-Jackson, the world's busiest airport, recently launched an official YouTube channel to support the Airport's ongoing social media campaign. Hartsfield-Jackson's official YouTube channel can be found at www.youtube.com/atlantahartsfield.

Atlanta, GA, January 23, 2009 --(PR.com)-- What do new security lanes, The Pink Panther© and litter awareness have in common? They are all featured on Hartsfield-Jackson’s new YouTube channel. The Airport is launching its new video site at www.youtube.com/atlantahartsfield where it’s showing off its personality that makes it more than just an airport.

The Airport’s official YouTube channel is also designed to inform passengers and others about Airport programs, construction, special events and services, while sharing accurate and up-to-date information about the world’s busiest airport with as wide an audience as possible.

AtlantaHartsfield is the Airport’s official user name on YouTube. The channel currently features a video about the Airport’s recent security checkpoint expansion; an animation of the new Consolidated Rental Car (CONRAC) facility, which is set to open in November; and a look at the Airport’s Martin Luther King Jr. exhibit, Legacy of a Dream.

A litter awareness video; A Day in Pictures at Hartsfield-Jackson; and The Pink Panther© are also featured on the Airport’s YouTube channel.

The new YouTube channel is maintained by the Airport’s Public Affairs Office and is part of an ongoing effort to leverage new media outlets in order to share accurate and up-to-date-information about the Airport’s mission, services and benefits. As it develops in the New Year, the site will feature content about customer service programs, parking, concessions, security and other relevant information aimed to improve the passenger experience at the world’s busiest airport.
