SansGov Appoints Former Microsoft and Oracle Executive
Sydney, Australia, January 22, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Sanseman Government has today announced the appointment of former Oracle and Microsoft Executive, Anthony O'Hara, to the key role of Senior Executive Advisor, Information Technology and Telecommunications, IT Workforce Design and Planning.
The Director of SansGov, Matthew Tukaki, has said the appointment of Anthony O'Hara will strengthen SansGov's strategic policy and review team as it focuses on providing advice and policy to Governments and the executive business sector during an unprecedented time in the domestic and world economy.
“IT workforces are at risk across the economy, both here at home and abroad. Anthony’s appointment will allow SansGov to work specifically with the IT sector when it comes to workforce planning and redesign, implementation of knowledge management practices and process. The last thing we want to see is a rapid decline in the IT workforce at a time when infrastructure continues to be of high importance and technology, in itself is one of the fundamental keys to driving cost reduction and operational effectiveness. If we are not careful, and manage this challenge strategically, we could return to the days of a skill shortage in this sector.” Mr Tukaki said.
Anthony is a former Solutions Director at Oracle Asia Pacific and more recently, Microsoft Asia Pacific’s lead education Technology Strategist. From advising CEO's on the launch of their online businesses to engaging on World Bank and Asian Development Bank funded projects, to spearheading ground-breaking solutions for Oracle Corporation, Anthony is a firm believer in the transformational powers of ICT and the need to effectively manage the IT workforce during both growth periods and downturns.
"Anthony will also work with our clients to build and develop programs while at the same time working within SansGov to help with the building of frameworks and policy to really drive Green technologies and industries. It is rare to find an executive with extensive Oracle and Microsoft platform and technology experience" Matthew Tukaki said.
