Sports Science Lab Launches Contest to Fulfill Athletes Dreams

Sports Science Lab is asking for submissions from athletes with community voting on YouTube to select the winner. The winner will receive free SSL training at their facility.

San Juan Capistrano, CA, January 25, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Sports Science Lab (SSL), the only sports training facility that guarantees improved athleticism, is launching a campaign to help deserving athletes achieve their dreams. In a bold twist, SSL is turning over the selection of the 'deserving athlete' to the world, leaving the final selections up to the online community.

The contest offers free revolutionary athleticism training at SSL's facility under the direct tutelage of Gavin MacMillan, Founder & Director of SSL. “Whether their dream is to make their high school or college team, star in their club league, become an all star or all pro, or make a mark at one of the combines (NFL or NBA), we'll help them get there with our science-based training methodology” states MacMillan.

And we all get to follow along. SSL will document the entire process starting on day one of the training and culminating in the big day. There will even be live, web casts of the training, to be broadcast from the workout facility. Progressive video footage will be posted on YouTube as well as on the SSL web site.

All that's required is for athletes of all levels, shapes, sizes and ages to convince the online community to select them for the coveted training, valued at over $5,000. They can use any means they choose: a video, hand written story, email with or without video/photos, etc. All entries will be posted on the SSL site, www.sportsciencelab.com, where web visitors can comment on each individual story and cast their vote for the most deserving.

Run by elite athlete Gavin MacMillan, SSL is out to revolutionize sports performance training with a disruptive new methodology, The NeuroMuscular Intensification System, that focuses on training the Nervous System.

In order to achieve higher levels of athleticism, it is necessary to overcome the neurological system's tendency to stagnate in its responses. This stagnation hinders the improvement of athleticism.

The Nervous System components of motor control, motor sensitivity, balance, kinesthetic awareness and proprioception need to be stimulated by progressively challenging modalities that include instability and sequentially varying degrees of difficulty.

The resulting superior Nervous System functioning, gained from SSL Training, is the critical component which produces dramatic improvement in sports-speed, power, quickness, grace, sports specific skill...and overall athleticism.

Sport Science Lab has facilities in San Juan Capistrano and trains elite athletes including Troy Polamalu, Tyson Chandler, Aly Wagner and others.
