The residence will open the week of January 29th. In the spring of this year, Arveda will open an identical location in Buda. Both residences are accepting reservations.

Under the leadership of Jennifer Scott, Vice President of Facility Development & Operations, the new residences have been designed from the ground up to provide the best environment possible for residents, their families and caregivers. The Arveda team includes Rene Digby, the Executive Director of the residence. Ms. Digby has worked in operations in San Antonio for the past thirteen years, beginning in the banking and real estate fields. She began working with seniors in San Antonio, through marketing for an assisted-living facility and her involvement in the Alzheimer’s Association. For the past five years, she has served as Executive Director of a 103-bed assisted-living and Alzheimer’s care facility.

The Austin and Buda residences will offer the most attentive and state-of-the-art care available in the Austin area. Residents will enjoy furnished private rooms in a secured home environment, with service plans designed using input from the residents and their families. The staff will be specifically trained in Alzheimer’s and dementia care, and will provide an array of engaging daily activities. Arveda is proud to announce that its facilities will be the first in Austin to implement the award-winning Vigil Dementia System, which uses non-invasive sensors in the residents’ rooms to alert staff when a resident needs assistance, thereby maintaining both the resident’s privacy while providing safe and attentive care.
